Matter Of Balance logoMatter of Balance
A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls emphasizes practical strategies to reduce this fear and increase activity levels. Participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable; set realistic goals to increase activity; change their environment to reduce fall risk factors; and exercise to increase strength and balance. A Matter of Balance includes eight two-hour sessions for a small group led by a trained facilitator. This program was developed at the Roybal Center at Boston University, and has been nationally recognized.

Enhance Fitness

The Enhance Fitness Program is a series of specially designed and tested exercises developed specifically for mature participants. The program consists of one-hour classes, meeting three times a week and is designed to be socially stimulating while focusing on areas of recognized importance for mature participants: stretching, low-impact aerobics, strength training and balance.

The purpose of the Arizona Diabetes Coalition is to reduce the burden of diabetes on individuals, families, communities, the health care system, and the State.
